We partner with Progyny to provide employees with personalized support to grow their families. The benefit provides access to more than 950 of the nation’s most sought-after fertility specialists, so employees can choose a physician who best meets their needs and a patient-care advocate for dedicated support
We offer up to 20 weeks of paid leave to birthing mothers and six weeks for parents who adopt. During this period, restricted stock units will continue to vest based on the current vesting schedule.
Employees have access to a network of more than 2 million caregivers, including nannies, babysitters, and special-needs caretakers.
The program allows employees to give six weeks of paid parental leave to a spouse or partner whose isn’t eligible for parental leave from their employer.

Resources for Living (RFL) is Amazon’s free employee-assistance program that offers all employees, along with their families and household members, a free 30-minute consultation for each financial issue they’d like to discuss.
All Amazon employees who are Aertna plan-enrolled and family members aged 18+ can use Hinge Health’s pain prevention program, regardless of benefits eligibility or enrollment.
Amazon employees will now find the lowest copay on their prescription medications at Amazon Pharmacy. Employees and family members enrolled in an Aetna, Cigna, or Premera medical plan through Amazon will be eligible for up to a 90-day supply of prescription of preferred brand and generic medications through Amazon Pharmacy, and enjoy savings on a wide range of medications.
We have launched an initiative to provide more programs, resources, and support for refugee and humanitarian-based immigrant employees
The Welcome Door program is available to full-time or part-time regular associates (non-seasonal) at Amazon who are all Humanitarian Based Immigrants (including DACA, asylum, TPS, refugees, and others) and EAD holders.
Reimbursement for EAD renewal fees, which cost on average roughly $500 every other year.
Employees have access to free legal resources to help navigate immigration-related questions and the ability to connect with immigration experts.
Amazon has partnered with New American Workforce to provide access to an online portal and free legal assistance for eligible employees interested in completing their application for U.S. citizenship (i.e., form N-400).
The Welcome Door program wants to promote access to skills-training benefits, including free college tuition and English as a Second Language (ESL) proficiency through Amazon’s Career Choice program. Career Choice was established on the belief that everyone who comes to Amazon should be able to build their career, and we are ready to support our employees wherever they are on their educational journey. We’re committed to empowering our employees by providing them access to the education and training they need to grow their careers. Career Choice is an education benefit that empowers eligible employees to learn new skills for career success at Amazon or elsewhere.
Amazon culture offers a place for individuals to regain a sense of belonging, camaraderie, and purpose. Veterans excel here because they have the ability to make quick decisions, take ownership over situations, and have a bias for action.
All Amazon employees are eligible for Military LOA as of their date of hire, and in some circumstances during the hiring process and might be eligible for Military Differential Pay (MDP) up to 52 weeks or the duration of the Military Leave, whichever is less.
In the event, an employee has an immediate family member either being deployed for the U.S. military or returning from deployment, Amazon will work with the employee to make this challenging time a little easier. Accordingly, Amazon’s Deployment Time Off Policy provides up to 2 full days of paid and 2 days unpaid time off per calendar year so that employees can handle family affairs and connect with loved ones as needed to prepare for or adjust pre and post-deployment.
This programs provide military spouses fellowship opportunities in a variety of different roles at Amazon with the goal of further expanding the growth of military spouses into sustainable, meaningful career fields within Amazon. Through these 12-week fellowship programs, military spouses will gain and have access to: professional training, networking, military spouse events, and hands-on-job experience.
The Amazon Skillbridge program provides military members within 180 days of service separation a diverse array of fellowship and apprenticeship roles. The goal of Skillbridge is to train, prepare, and extend full-time positions to service members, providing a smooth transition to the civilian sector.
We continuously strive to create the most inclusive work environment possible which includes providing benefits that support our employees being their most authentic selves.
Currently, all of our medical plans provide coverage for gender affirming procedures and hormone replacement therapy. Our Aetna and Premera Blue Cross medical plans also include travel and lodging reimbursement for specialty treatments that address select needs for transgender individuals.
Amazon partners with Progyny, leading fertility provider, to give you comprehensive coveragefor fertility treatment. Progyny provides LGBTQIA+-specific support and all Progyny doctors embrace Progyny’s values of LGBTQIA+ inclusion and access.
