Celebrating Inclusivity Through Affinity Groups
Our affinity groups bring Amazon employees together across various businesses and locations around the world.
One way we support a culture of inclusion and belonging is through our Affinity Groups. They emerged at Amazon in the late 1990’s as employees gathered around common identities, experiences and interests. As we work to create a workplace that is inclusive and reflective of the diverse communities Amazon serves, our Affinity Groups are instrumental in celebrating and honoring our diverse communities.
We have 13 Affinity Groups that represent a variety of interests and communities.
Across the globe, we have 2,000+ local chapters of our affinity groups.
130k+ Amazon employees are active members of at least one affinity group.
Affinity groups play an important role in building internal networks for creating a community, advising Amazon business units, leading in service projects, and reaching out to communities where Amazonians live and work. Read more here.
